The PM-TE Breakout Board provides an easy way to interconnect things. Originally designed as an easy way to connect stepper motors to test equipment (the PM-TE Current Measurement Interface in particular), the Breakout Board (or "BOB") finds many uses on the electronics test bench.
There are several different connections available on BOB:
4x 5-way binding posts, which interface with banana plugs, or wires (1 for each of 4 signals)
2x 4-wire compression terminal blocks (2 positions for each of 4 signals)
1x 4-pin, 0.100" centers header (each pin connects to one signal)
4x test points (one for each signal)
Four mounting holes in the corners are fitted with press-in standoffs that space the board 1/4" off the table. #6 screws can also be used to mount the board permanently if desired.
There are lots of applications for this item. Here it's being used as an interface on an old-fashioned breadboard for a tube amplifier. Yes, that actually is a board!
